Pim den Hertog, Dialogic innovatie & interactie
The presentation will give insights about the typical assignments of Dialogic by discussing the results of two selected recent projects, a) Meta review Dutch Entrepreneurship and Innovation Policies (2015) and b) Evaluation Innovation Box (2015). It will reflect on the interaction between policy-makers, steering committees & consultant, and will provide insights on how R&D in a research-based consultancy like Dialogic is organized (V) and start with the topic of service innovation & two key models.
About the speaker
Dr. Pim den Hertog (1966) is founding partner of Dialogic and active in the innovation domain for more than 20 years. Pim’s research interests are in (management) of service innovation, open innovation, innovation policy-making (including evaluation) and innovation governance. Pim conducted many research projects, many of them in the role of project manager, for various Dutch Ministries, the European Commission and OECD. Prior to his work at Dialogic, Pim worked at TNO Strategy, Technology and Policy (1984-1998). Pim originally graduated as an economic geographer (Utrecht University, cum laude) and finished his PhD on service innovation at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Amsterdam in 2010. Dialogic is an independent research consultancy specializing in complex questions in the field of Infrastructure, Information, Education and Innovation. Clients are national governments, provinces and municipalities and also international (local) governments. In addition, we also work for intermediaries, sector organisations, institutes, SMEs and large firms. Dialogic supports all groups involved with forward looking strategic (policy) research and research based consultancy. Dialogic has vast expertise in the collection and analysis of data, both the supply side and the demand side. Dialogic makes both use of existing data sources and statistics and gather our own data (e.g. by means of various types of surveys or field research) and subsequently develop their own measurement and indicators. Dialogic researchers are acknowledged international experts in the measurement of innovation and (the effectiveness of) innovation policy and are for instance regularly consulted by the OECD, EU, and statistical agencies.
